29th January Reuters :lenovo announced in the United States, the price will be $ 2.9 billion acquisition of Motorola‘s smart phone business from the Valley singers. This is a major acquisition of Lenovo since 2005 the acquisition of IBM’s personal computer business.
Acquisitions smoothly, Lenovo, Motorola will present well-known brands in the bag, including big sellers MotoX and MotoG in the U.S. market. In addition, the association will take full control of Motorola’s mobile product planning. However, as a former owner of Motorola, Google will continue to hold the majority of Motorola’s mobile patent portfolio, including existing patent applications and invention disclosures. Lenovo will acquire patent portfolio related to intellectual property and other authorized licenses.
